Managing Devices

  • Manage Charging of Devices
  • Prepare unique Device Check-out Logs for each device.
  • Device Check-out:
    • Complete NCFCA Device Checkout Log for the designated device.
      • Tech will complete the following line items at checkout: “Checked Out NCFCA Staff (initials)”, “Date Checked Out”, and “Time Checked Out”.
      • CJ will complete “Name of Judge”, “Phone Number of Judge”, and “Signature of Judge”
    • Place the log in a folder designated “Checked Out Devices”
    • Introduce the Community Judge to a Judge Support member to have them walk through platform checking and ballot selection.
  • Device Returns:
    • Locate the log in the “Checked Out Devices” Folder
    • Complete the following line items: “Time Returned”, “Date Returned”, “Checked in by NCFCA Staff (initials)
    • Clean and prepare the returned devices for the next judge
      • Log out previous judge
      • Clear cache in browser 
        • On your computer, open Chrome.
        • At the top right, click More .
        • Click settings. Clear browsing data.
        • At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
        • Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
        • Click Clear data.
      • Check “reset” box on check-out log
    • Place Check-out Log in device and plug in device to charge for next user.
    • Thank the CJ for taking the time to judge.
