Safety Protocol & Training
For training purposes, all tournament staff will be required to watch a video and/or read other training materials regarding abuse prevention and child safety.
All employees and volunteers will be required to read the NCFCA Child Safety Policy and sign the Worker Acknowledgement and Code of Conduct in the Safety Policy.
The Facility Coordinator will also:
- Work with Child Safety Coordinator to identify potential areas of risk
- Maintain a safe environment across the facility, including ensuring doors/closets are locked as appropriate, off-limits areas are blocked off as appropriate, signage is posted where needed, etc.
- Report any suspicious or “off” behavior to the WHO?
Additional Safety Protocols
- All doors will be locked this season except for the judge entrance once competition begins.
- Please be in communication with the host facility during the facility walk-through to make every effort for doors to be locked.
- Work with the TC to designate specific competitor and judge entry points
- Make sure doors are locked once Morning Announcements are complete and check throughout the day to make sure doors are locked and not propped open.
