The following timetable is a guide to understand the balloting process at a tournament:
Times to keep in mind prior to a Preliminary Round:
1 hour 15-30 minutes |
Paneling may begin for Parents-Open Groups, and send a notification to parents |
45 minutes |
The EARLIEST time you would want to contact a Community Judge |
30 minutes |
Reach out to Parents via Texts and Notifications to take ballots |
30 minutes |

IDEAL TIMEFRAME for all ballots to be taken before a round starts |

MINIMUM amount of time to set the Start Time prior to round, allowing competitors and judges time to proceed to rooms and be ready for the round. (This may be different depending on your facility size). |

Immediately advise judges to proceed to their rooms |

Remember, the first EXTEMPORANEOUS speaker’s draw time begins 5 minutes prior to a round. |
After a Round has concluded:
